Baywatch superstar Yasmine Bleeth is living her best life far away from the glitz and glam of Hollywood. At 57, she has embraced a joyful and sober existence, leaving behind the chaos that once surrounded her acting career.
Bleeth captivated audiences with her role as Caroline Holden on Baywatch, sharing the screen with icons like Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff from 1993 to 1997. Afterward, she took on a new challenge alongside Don Johnson in Nash Bridges. However, the early 2000s brought personal struggles that led to her departure from the limelight.
Her former Baywatch co-star, David Chokachi, recently opened up about Bleeth's current state during an appearance on Steve Kmetko's hit podcast, Still Here Hollywood. "I know she's doing fantastic. She's married and super happy, and I know she's sober and doing great. They tried to reach out to her to see if she would do the documentary, but she really didn’t want to go back into the public spotlight really at all, so she basically just declined," Chokachi shared, adding his admiration for her as an "amazing human being."
Chokachi's comments highlight Bleeth's contentment with her current lifestyle, choosing peace over public attention, even as fans remain curious about her life.
Bleeth's personal struggles with addiction are no secret. Back in 2003, she candidly shared her battle with cocaine use in a Glamour magazine essay, revealing the dark times when she would stay up for days fueled by the drug. Her addiction spiraled to a point where she collapsed during a photo shoot and later faced legal troubles following a car accident in Michigan.
"Consciously trying to stay off drugs is now part of my life and always will be," Bleeth wrote, chronicling her path to recovery and sobriety.
While in rehab, she met her husband, Paul Cerrito, marking the beginning of her new life. Today, over two decades later, Bleeth remains committed to her health and happiness, opting out of Hollywood's allure.
Bleeth's journey serves as a testament to resilience and the choice of personal fulfillment over public fame. Her story continues to touch hearts, proving that life beyond the silver screen can be as rewarding as the roles that made her famous.
