The upcoming thriller, fittingly titled "Bitcoin: Killing Satoshi," is directed by the acclaimed Doug Liman of "Bourne Identity" fame. The film promises a star-studded cast, including the likes of Gal Gadot, Pete Davidson, and Casey Affleck, and is already stirring up plenty of buzz.
This production is independently spearheaded by the masterminds at Acme AI & FX, a visual effects studio that has built a bespoke soundstage to facilitate the filming process. This innovative approach, leveraging cutting-edge AI tools for post-production, transformed what could have been a $300 million extravaganza into a streamlined $70 million project. Imagine blank walls and basic lighting setting the stage for the magic of AI-generated imagery to create a cinematic spectacle.
“We realized we could bring down the cost by utilizing some of the AI tools out there," explained producer Ryan Kavanaugh, highlighting the film's 200 distinct locations from Antarctica to Vegas.”
While AI takes center stage in post-production, human creativity and effort haven't taken a backseat. The film's creation involves a substantial team – 107 cast members, 100 shoot crew, and 54 non-shoot crew – along with 55 "AI artists" during the expected 30-week post-production. Despite the AI frenzy, the producers are quick to emphasize the significant human contribution behind the camera, reassuring audiences of the film's artistic integrity.
