Dave Coulier's Candid Health Update

Dave Coulier, known and loved globally for his role in Full House, has taken to Instagram to address fans directly about some striking changes in his appearance and voice. The actor shared that these are side effects of intensive radiation therapy he underwent for carcinoma in his throat.

In his heartfelt post, Coulier explained, "Hi everyone, it's me, Dave, and I haven't posted in quite a while... what you're seeing is the side effects of extensive radiation that I went through for carcinoma in my throat." The diagnosis came after a tumultuous battle with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in November 2024, followed by another challenge with p16 squamous carcinoma at the base of his tongue.

“It’s been a roller coaster ride for sure," Coulier shared on a recent TV appearance. "I’m in remission with both cancers. And what a journey this has been.”

The Impact on His Daily Life

Coulier opened up about the significant changes he's experienced since his treatment. He revealed he hasn't been able to eat solid food for months, resulting in a 45-pound weight loss, and noted that his speech has been affected – all consequences of the aggressive treatments.

Despite these challenges, Coulier shared the encouraging news that his prognosis is positive. "Prognosis looks good for both the carcinoma in my throat and the lymphoma, so we're very pleased with all of that," he reported. His recent PET scans suggest that he's on the road to recovery.

Facing the Future with Optimism

Earlier appearances, like his feature on Good Morning America, highlighted Coulier's courageous journey through surgery for tongue cancer and his ongoing battle with lymphoma. The actor expressed gratitude for the support he’s received and optimism for the future.

Through these trials, Coulier remains resilient and hopeful, demonstrating the strength it takes to face such personal challenges in the public eye.
