Victoria Beckham is breaking her silence about the strain within her family, particularly concerning the ongoing issues with her eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife, Nicola Peltz. The fashion icon and former Spice Girl recently shared her thoughts on how she and David Beckham are navigating these turbulent times.
While chatting with Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones on the Today show on April 21, Victoria emphasized the importance of family unity. “We always put our children first,” she revealed. “We love our children so much and have always really focused on protecting our children, but we laugh a lot. David Beckham is really, super funny.”
David and Victoria's relationship has stood the test of time since they first met in 1997. Nearly three decades later, they have four children: Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14. Despite the current rift with Brooklyn, Victoria explains that the couple's bond remains strong.
“We're close to my parents and David's parents. We support each other through everything that we do,” Victoria shared.
Brooklyn has been notably estranged from his family, following public criticisms of his parents earlier this year. The tensions reportedly escalated due to perceived mistreatment of his wife, Nicola. Yet, the Beckham family continues to remain resilient.
Through it all, Victoria finds solace in her relationship with David. “We've grown together. And that's where I feel so blessed. We really have grown together. We support each other. We've both got big dreams. We're both very, very ambitious, and we support each other. I want him to be the best version of himself, and that's what he wants for me.” She expressed a sense of fulfillment having recently turned 52, stating she feels she's in a “really good place.”
The Beckhams might be a family in the spotlight, but they're navigating their challenges like any other – with love, laughter, and a little help from those closest to them.
