Ayşegül Eraslan, a rising star in the world of influencers, tragically passed away at 27, and her family claims it wasn't a simple case. Allegations are swirling that Eraslan was the victim of a chilling blackmail scheme over explicit photos, which her family believes may have led to her untimely death.
Hasan Yilmaz, the family's attorney, revealed that they possess strong evidence of the blackmail, which includes documented threats and compromising images. "We have the evidence, and we have handed it over to the authorities," Yilmaz stated. Despite identifying suspects, the police have not yet taken their statements, leaving the family frustrated and demanding a more thorough investigation.
The family is urging for a special investigative unit to handle the case, as they seek a transparent investigation into what appears to be a highly suspicious death. Eraslan was found dead in her Kağıthane home on March 13, after her family, unable to contact her, alerted the police.
Upon arriving at her residence, officers discovered Eraslan had recently returned from a vacation in Egypt. Disturbingly, they also found multiple pieces of evidence, including her cellphone, notes, and a knife with possible blood traces. These were sent to forensic labs for further analysis.
Security footage disclosed that actor Sunay Kurtuluș was seen visiting Eraslan's apartment an hour before she died. Although briefly questioned, Kurtuluș insisted he was merely a part of the ongoing investigation and had cooperated fully with the authorities.
Kurtuluș’s attorneys emphasized his non-involvement, stating he was "not at the scene of the incident at the time it occurred." The actor expressed his sorrow over Eraslan's death, stating, "We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ayşegül Eraslan. Our thoughts are with her family during this difficult time."
As the investigation continues, the world watches closely, hoping for clarity and justice in the wake of this influencer's tragic death.
