Tom Brady's Biopic Casting Dilemma

It's not every day that a sporting legend handpicks an Oscar winner to portray them in a biopic, but Tom Brady is doing just that. The seven-time Super Bowl champion has been busy crafting a multi-part documentary series with Fanatics Studios. And, in a recent twist, he's considering Leonardo DiCaprio to play him on the big screen.

From Patriots to Hollywood

During the launch of Fanatics Studios, Brady was put on the spot and asked about his dream casting. While he had previously teased names like Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg, this time he aimed high – suggesting DiCaprio take on the role. "I like Leo, man, he's a special guy," Brady shared with Access Hollywood. "He's such a deep, thoughtful guy with a tremendous perspective. We've had a lot of fun together."

“We've got a lot of times to kind of hang out and talk and [he's] such a deep thoughtful guy. He's got a tremendous perspective on a lot of things and we've had a lot of fun together.”

Could DiCaprio Don a Jersey?

Whether DiCaprio will accept the role remains to be seen, but Brady seemed enthusiastic about the idea, noting that a good script is key. The pair were recently seen catching up on a yacht, hinting at a budding friendship and potential future collaborations.

Award Season and Future Projects

While DiCaprio is deep in award season for his latest film "One Battle After Another," where he recently lost the Golden Globe for Best Actor – Musical or Comedy to Timothée Chalamet, the buzz surrounding a Brady biopic continues. For now, fans will have to wait and see if DiCaprio will trade his tux for a jersey in this potential blockbuster.
