Originally slated for October 1, 2027, the film is now set to premiere on February 18, 2028, including a spectacular IMAX release. This adjustment comes after several previous shifts, initially planned for an October 2025 release, which were impacted by the writers and actors strikes in 2023.

The rescheduling of 'The Batman Part II' positions it similarly to its predecessor, 2022's 'The Batman', which enjoyed a massive box office success, grossing $770.3 million worldwide. "We're giving the film more time for post-production to ensure fans receive the ultimate Batman experience," a Warner Bros. spokesperson shared. The delay also allows the studio to leverage a long weekend for its domestic opening, maximizing the film's opening potential.
'The Great Beyond' Takes the Spotlight
In a domino effect of date changes, J.J. Abrams' sci-fi fantasy 'The Great Beyond', starring Glen Powell and Jenna Ortega, will now occupy the October 1, 2027 slot, previously held by 'The Batman Part II'. This marks Abrams' return to the director's chair since 2019's 'The Rise of Skywalker'. Meanwhile, other Warner Bros. releases are also seeing schedule tweaks, with 'Panic Carefully' pushed to April 9, 2027, and 'Revenge of La Llorona' shifted to February 26, 2027.
