In a world where constant media buzz keeps stars afloat, Sobhita Dhulipala is steering clear of the spotlight. The Bollywood actress is turning heads not with flashy PR, but with her candid take on the pressures of maintaining a public persona.
At 33, Sobhita has carved a niche for herself by choosing authenticity over amplification. She recently discussed her approach to fame during an interview about her return to Telugu cinema. "Over the past few years, in brief pockets here and there, I’ve worked with a PR firm, but I think for my personality or the kind of choices I’m keen on making for the kind of life I want to lead, I’ve decided that I’m not going to require this sort of amplification," she shared.
“I don’t want to be visible 24×7 or I don’t want to be spoken about all the time. That’s not my interest, I don’t find it useful for me," she added.
Sobhita's commitment to her craft over commercial fanfare is refreshing. She remains focused on her projects, emphasizing that her career choices reflect her personal goals rather than dictated trends. The Goodachari and Moothon star isn't swayed by industry norms, stating, "I don’t work with PR, but maybe it works for someone else. There’s no fixed rule with this thing. You can only have your preferences and I think I have clarity about my own."
Now back in the Telugu film scene with a lead role in Cheekatilo, Sobhita is reclaiming space in the industry on her terms. Her last major Telugu role was in 2018's Goodachari, though she did appear in the bilingual film Major in 2022. Her journey shows that while others may chase the limelight, she's content with letting her work speak volumes.
