Kurt Russell, the Hollywood icon and star of Taylor Sheridan’s "The Madison," has revealed a cherished lifestyle far removed from the hustle and bustle of Tinseltown. In a recent chat with Fox News Digital, Russell opened up about the tranquil life he shares with long-time partner Goldie Hawn in Colorado, a contrast to their Los Angeles roots.
"What I enjoy most is that [Hawn] really likes it in Colorado," Russell confessed. "Wyatt and Meredith and their two boys, they live in Colorado now. So we like to spend as much time there as we can." Their Colorado haven echoes the lifestyle depicted in "The Madison," with Russell and Hawn frequently shuttling between their residences in Los Angeles and the serene mountains.
“I’d like to be there more,” Russell said of Colorado. “And there’s a different kind of life there. That’s primarily it. I’d like to be able to spend as much time there as possible.”
The couple's affinity for Colorado is deeply rooted, as revealed in Russell's interview with the Wall Street Journal. Their love for real estate has led them to homes across L.A., Palm Desert, and New York, but it's their Old Snowmass retreat that holds a special place in Russell’s heart. "Our Old Snowmass home is my favorite. It’s a large, beautiful log-cabin lodge on a ranch that we moved into a little over 40 years ago," he said, recalling their shared passion for log homes.
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell’s romance has spanned over four decades, and Hawn recently noted that sexual attraction remains a key element in their enduring relationship. But it's the peaceful mountain views that truly captivate Russell. He finds solace in the majestic scenery, paralleling the experiences of his "The Madison" character, who similarly finds refuge in the Colorado mountains.
Russell’s role in "The Madison" resonates deeply with his real-life love for Colorado's rugged charm. Speaking to Fox News Digital, he highlighted the synergy between his personal experiences and his on-screen character. "It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a really successful long-term relationship," Russell remarked, drawing parallels between the show's narrative and his own life.
The series, starring Michelle Pfeiffer as Russell's on-screen partner, explores the trials of a family out of their urban element, adapting to the untamed wilderness. With a star-studded cast that includes Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, and Matthew Fox, "The Madison" premiered on Paramount+ on March 14, capturing audiences with its blend of personal reflection and dramatic storytelling.
