From Suitcase Dreams to Screen Realities

Hunter Doohan landed in Los Angeles in 2012 with little more than dreams and a suitcase, skipping his intended college journey for a leap of faith into acting. "I loved the blind optimism delusion that I had to move out to L.A. with not a lot of proof to back that decision up," he confides. What began as a gap year turned into a decade-long journey of persistence and eventual stardom.

Doohan’s big break came in 2019 when he portrayed the younger version of Aaron Paul's character in Apple TV+'s 'Truth Be Told'. Further acclaim followed with his role alongside Bryan Cranston in 'Your Honor'. Yet, it was 2022's 'Wednesday', starring opposite Jenna Ortega, that truly skyrocketed his career, with his character Tyler Galpin becoming a fan favorite across the series.

“So to be here in season three is amazing,” Doohan shares, reflecting on his journey with the show.

Diving Deeper into Darkness

But Doohan didn’t stop at dark comedy. He plunged headfirst into horror with 'Evil Dead Burn', the gruesome sixth installment of the iconic horror series. Its chilling impact is undeniable, raking up $17 million domestically. "The practical effects and makeup they did on this movie was insane," he recalls, sharing playful behind-the-scenes moments that kept the atmosphere light despite the film's intensity.

Despite his varied roles, Doohan still awaits his first LGBTQ character – an irony not lost on him. “I’m going to take some of theirs,” he laughs, eyeing straight roles with a touch of playful revenge.

Behind the Camera Aspirations

Branching out beyond acting, Doohan has been nurturing ambitions behind the camera. With a background in writing and a love for storytelling, he’s eager to produce and direct future projects. He already has a feature film in development, a testament to his diverse talents.

For now, as 'Wednesday' heads to the City of Love in its third season, fans are eager to see where Tyler will pop up next. Doohan’s career, much like his character’s storyline, is filled with unexpected twists and thrilling adventures.
