The 57-year-old star has been announced as the new Head of Impact at Humanitix, a revolutionary ticketing company based in Australia that channels 100% of its profits to charities.

Humanitix was founded back in 2016 by high school friends Adam McCurdie and Joshua Ross, who dreamed of a world without dreaded booking fees on tickets. Fast forward to today, and Humanitix is not just an Aussie sensation but an international powerhouse in New Zealand, the United States, and the UK, with a whopping $20.8 million already donated to charitable causes.

“Most of us don’t think twice about ticketing fees or where the profits go,” Hugh shared, emphasizing the company’s mission. “Humanitix flips that on its head by turning those fees into real impact for real people.”

Humanitix’s Global Mission

Jackman’s role will be all about amplifying Humanitix’s mission on a global scale as the company pushes its model of transforming booking fees into financial aid for poverty alleviation, education, and healthcare worldwide. A bold move, indeed, as Humanitix seeks to disrupt the traditional ticketing industry with its charitable twist.

Joshua Ross expressed excitement about adding some star power to their cause, stating, “Hugh’s involvement reflects where this is heading: global, mainstream, and high-impact.” It’s not your typical celebrity cameo – this is about serious change.

The Humanitix Vision

When Humanitix first kicked off, it aimed to shake up the ticketing world by redirecting all profits to high-impact charity organizations. In 2018, it snagged the prestigious Google Impact Challenge, a testament to its innovative mission and success.

In Australia alone, Humanitix has processed about $453 million in ticket sales, and projections suggest that number could soar to $535 million by 2026. Their ambitious goal? To donate $100 million to charity by 2031. With 20.8 million tickets sold by 2025, they’re poised to overtake giant companies like Ticketek any day now.
