Actress and singer Hilary Duff is gearing up for a grand comeback with her upcoming album, 'Luck... or Something.' After a ten-year break from the music industry, her return is sending waves of excitement across the globe. In an exclusive chat with Glamour magazine, Duff shared what ignited her passion to step back into the limelight.
“I just felt really ready to share. One, I wanted to stretch creatively, and two, I wanted to make something that I could connect with people again on the level of who I am now,” she said, underscoring the personal growth that fuels her new music.
Duff's journey in the entertainment world began with her breakout role as Lizzie McGuire on Disney Channel, a character that made her a household name and captured the hearts of fans worldwide.
Looking back, Duff reflects on her formative years. Despite being perceived as the "good girl" of Hollywood, she insists she was just a "totally normal teenager." She told femalefirst.co.uk, “I’ll say that I didn’t ever feel ‘good’ or ‘bad,’ and it was funny that I was flagged as the good girl because of what people saw me doing on TV. I was a totally normal teenager doing normal teenager things.”
Duff recently took to Instagram to reminisce about her early music career during her press tour for her 2003 album, 'Metamorphosis.' She shared, "Clearly I had to go digging around the internet for pictures from this time as I'm not sure camera phones even existed. Sadly all my hairstyles ARE very documented."
She continued, "Yesterday marked the 22nd anniversary of Metamorphosis… Although these are distant memories for me, thank you for showing up the way that you did. To be continued…"
With her album slated for release in August 2025, fans across the globe are eagerly awaiting what Duff describes as a project born out of creativity and connection. Her return to the music scene promises to be nothing short of spectacular, re-establishing her as a force to be reckoned with.
