During a candid chat on the 'Literally! With Rob Lowe' podcast, Pratt spilled the details on the couple's secret to marital bliss. "A part of getting married at St. Monica [Catholic] Church is doing premarital counseling," he shared, delving into the sessions that laid the foundation for their future.

“They ask you questions you would not even think to answer until you've been married for eight years," Pratt revealed. "And then you have to negotiate it then.”

The Power of Premarital Counseling

Pratt, known for his roles in 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Parks and Recreation,' credited the premarital counseling sessions for helping them tackle potential issues head-on. "It was really great," he noted, explaining how they worked through hypothetical scenarios that might otherwise have caused friction in their marriage.

He explained how these discussions prevented future disagreements, giving an example of a beloved holiday tradition close to Schwarzenegger's heart. "We were gonna play Christmas music on Nov. 1, and take the Christmas tree down Dec. 26," Pratt explained. "We talked about it beforehand. So now we're on board."

By hashing out details such as these, Pratt emphasized that they avoided those "first Christmas arguments." Instead, they came to a mutual understanding before the holiday crunch. "If you agree on it, you move on. But if there's things you disagree on, you hash it out," he explained.
