Universal Studios Hollywood is shifting into high gear with the unveiling of a spectacular car display outside their much-anticipated Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift roller coaster, set to open this summer. Visitors can now feast their eyes on iconic vehicles from the legendary film series while eagerly awaiting the ride's official debut.
The display, located in front of the bold "Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift" signage, features a pair of legendary rides, each surrounded by stanchions to keep eager fans at bay. On one side, behold the sleek silver and blue 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R, famously driven in the 2003 sequel 2 Fast 2 Furious. On the other side stands the imposing black 1970 Dodge Charger, a nod to the adrenaline-packed original 2001 film, The Fast & the Furious.
“Fans are thrilled to see these iconic cars up close – it's like stepping into the movie!”
This isn't just a visual treat – the Hollywood Drift coaster promises to deliver a heart-pounding experience, with ride vehicles spinning to mimic the franchise's signature drifting style. Excitement is building as the coaster undergoes testing, and first responders have been seen on-site, likely part of essential training for the upcoming attraction.
Meanwhile, across the country, Universal Studios Florida is catching up with its own version of the ride under construction, replacing the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.
