The duo was there to engage in crucial settlement talks regarding Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni, which accuses him of sexual harassment on the set of their upcoming 2024 romantic drama, "It Ends With Us." In a tense six-hour negotiation, Lively and Baldoni’s legal teams attempted to reach a resolution. Despite the marathon discussions, the two left the Manhattan federal courthouse separately, offering no comment to the press. Lively maintained a stern demeanor, while Baldoni appeared slightly more upbeat. Unfortunately for both parties, Baldoni's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, confirmed via email that the talks did not produce a settlement.

“These mandatory settlement talks are a precursor to trial, but are not held in public,” Freedman noted.

Lively’s lawsuit accuses Baldoni and his crisis communication expert of harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her after she voiced complaints about her treatment on set. In response, Baldoni and his company, Wayfarer Studios, launched a countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation and extortion. However, these counterclaims were dismissed last June by Judge Lewis J. Liman.
