Ashley Roberts Talks About Her Challenging Journey

Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts has faced the ups and downs of the celebrity jungle in the much-anticipated I’m A Celebrity… South Africa. The American singer, who was a runner-up in the 2012 Australian series, was evicted after 12 days in the camp, marking her exit after failing to complete a challenge puzzle as swiftly as her peers.

Speaking to the iconic hosting duo Ant and Dec post-eviction, Ashley expressed her disappointment, saying, “I’m very gutted I didn’t see it til the end. In my head I was like, I know this is challenging and tough. I mean, y’all stepped it up a few notches.”

Reflecting on Camp Life and Friendships

Ashley didn't hold back her affection for her fellow competitors, which included big names like former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, actress Beverley Callard, and sporting legend Sir Mo Farah. "I loved them all. Everybody had their own magic," she shared, showcasing the camaraderie that blossomed in the camp.

Reflecting on her stint, Roberts noted the stark differences compared to her original appearance in 2012, stating that this all-star series was particularly grueling.

“The challenges and trials were really tough. It wasn’t just one eyeball, it wasn’t just one smoothie. I mean, Craig (Charles) did 30 something shots of blood and guts and brain.”

Despite the intensity, Ashley left with treasured friendships and unforgettable memories – including singing and dancing to "Lovely Day" on her birthday.

Looking to the Future

Although her time was cut short, Ashley Roberts remains optimistic about the show's finale. She's rooting for Sir Mo Farah to take the crown in the upcoming finale, which promises to be a thrilling climax for viewers.
