Victoria Beckham has finally broken her silence about the bubbling feud with her eldest son, Brooklyn. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazine, published on April 16, Victoria delicately sidestepped directly naming Brooklyn, instead emphasizing her and husband David's unwavering love for their children. "I think that we’ve always—we love our children so much. We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be," she expressed.
Reflecting on their high-profile lives, Victoria noted, "We’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now. All we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children." She concluded with a firm yet gentle, "And you know, that's all I really want to say about it."
“That’s all I really want to say about it,” Victoria firmly remarked, putting a lid on the public speculation.
Earlier this year, Brooklyn Beckham took to Instagram with a bombshell post, leveling serious accusations against his famous parents. He accused Victoria and David of manipulating family narratives in the media and engaging in "performative social media posts." Brooklyn claimed they attempted to "hijack" his and Nicola Peltz's wedding dance and described their efforts as endlessly trying to sabotage his relationship.
Brooklyn insisted he wasn't under anyone's control but rather "standing up for [himself] for the first time in [his] life." He made it clear he had no interest in reconciling, stating, "I do not want to reconcile with [my] family." His allegations also included specific claims against his mother, accusing Victoria of backing out on making Nicola's wedding dress at the last minute and labeling Brooklyn as "evil" over seating arrangements.
Despite the public nature of these accusations, neither David nor Victoria directly responded at the time. However, David did speak broadly about social media's role, emphasizing the importance of allowing children to make mistakes, a subtle nod perhaps to Brooklyn's actions. "They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn," he mentioned, stressing the need for his kids to learn from their errors.
This public family drama highlights the challenges of maintaining private lives in the relentless glare of fame, where even personal disagreements can become global headlines. Yet, through it all, Victoria remains focused on protecting her family's unity despite the public narrative.
